How much Stardust does a trade cost?
It depends on your friendship level, on whether it's a special trade (shiny, legendary…) and on whether one of you doesn't have it registered yet. The calculator above works it out, including event discounts.
What is a guaranteed lucky trade?
Pokémon caught in 2020 or earlier become Lucky when traded, until you reach 45 guaranteed Luckies (the game doesn't show the count). Lucky Pokémon cost half the Stardust to power up.
How many special trades can I do?
One per day, and you need to be Good Friends or higher. Some special events add more Special Trades per day. A trade is special if it has a shiny, legendary, Ultra Beast, Gigantamax, purified, Meltan or Melmetal, a special background, or a Pokémon (form or costume included) one of you doesn't have registered.
Which Pokémon can't be traded?
Most Mythical Pokémon (Meltan and Melmetal can be traded), Shadow, already-traded, favorite and buddy Pokémon, ones defending a gym, fused or Mega-evolved, not at full HP, and Zygarde, Crowned Zacian, Crowned Zamazenta and Eternatus. You also need to be within 100 m of your friend, unless an event allows remote trades.
